Earlier this month I was stressing out trying to get my 25-page paper done for my grad-school class. Got my final grade today…an A. Was there any doubt? (Um, actually yes, there was). Good times.
I can see clearly now…
December 21, 2007
Well, clearer anyway. This morning I was able to read the 20/20 line at the doctor’s office. Tonight, things are a little blurry at some distances. I’ve been told that it can take a few days for my vision to stabilize.
My eyes feel a little itchy but the haziness I saw yesterday is almost entirely gone.
Eye day!
December 20, 2007
Had LASIK surgery today. Woohoo!
The most uncomfortable part was when they used the laser to make the flap of the cornea.
The surgery itself wasn’t bad at all. Now things are a bit hazy and my eyes feel the slightest bit scratchy (I”m told that will get worse tomorrow). I can already see an improvement. My eyes are a bit light sensitive at the moment, and there are star bursts around lights, but it isn’t too bad.
Just relaxing the rest of the day.
Another year older

Today is my 38th birthday. This post is where I should ponder the passage of time and the maturity it brings.
But I’ve got nothing.

Honeybun came back from visiting her parents this week. My in-laws have the best neighbor ever. Whenever she hears I’m going to be there to visit, she bakes a rum cake.
No, not merely a rum cake. She bakes a little piece of heaven.
This time I wasn’t able to make the trip, but she sent back a slice of her famous rum cake with Honeybun.
Too bad the blog doesn’t come with Smell-O-Vision, because this stuff is AWESOME!
Perchance to dream…
September 17, 2007
Any dream interpreters out there?
Last night I had a strange one. The dream started with me getting on a Canada Air flight.
The strange thing about this plane was that all the seats were bench-style. Some faced forward in the cabin, others faced the side. I sat in one facing the side. At this point in the dream, I realized that I wasn’t wearing a shirt. Thankfully, I did have pants, but I was surprised they let me on the plane bare-chested. No one seemed to notice even though everyone else was fully clothed.
I just checked and found out there is an Air Canada but not a Canada Air. Still, why Canada Air? I’ve never been to Canada, don’t plan on going there, and don’t want to. In the words of Homer Simpson, “why would you want to leave America to visit American Junior?â€
And what is up with being shirtless? Is there some phobia related to having a bare torso on a plane?
Or maybe Freud would say “sometimes being shirtless on a Canadian airplane is just being shirtless on a Canadian airplane.â€
